Marian Centre is mainly known for being a soup kitchen in the Edmonton inner city. It has been in operation since 1955 and is operated by a small community of 12 people, along with the help of many volunteers. The staff assigned to live here form a family whose members lead a simple life of prayer and service. We do not receive a salary. Our life and work here are a call and a free gift.

Those who come to Marian Centre come to our house and are welcomed into our home. In our dining room, anyone needing a hot lunch is welcomed for a hearty stew served by staff and volunteers. Sandwich bags are distributed at other times. Once a week the clothing room is opened so that clothes and small household items can be made available to our friends.
