Rupert still giving back.... 11 years and going!!!

Raising funds for THE KINGSTON HUMANE SOCIETY | BIG PAWS ACROSS CANADA 2020

$2,660.00raised of $500.00

Campaign Ended October 22, 2020

Sadly, Rupert passed away December 2019.  He fought long and hard...he gave everything to me and did his best for KHS.  His memory and spirit will live on....Rupert was struck by a car early Christmas morning 2009 on a bleak stretch of the 401 highway just west of Kingston. He was found in a ditch where he'd dragged himself after suffering severe injuries to both hind legs. I was on duty at the time and stopped by a passerby. I followed a trail of blood to the dog who was shivering in a pool of frigid water, he did not whine or growl when I approached him. He shivered and wagged his tail and gobbled some food and allowed me to cover and hold him.. He was transported to the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital and the KHS took over.  He was treated both locally and in Ottawa.  Between the two they put the broken pup back together. Each year since, Rupert and I have raised badly need funds for the KHS.  We do this securing pledges for the annual Big Paws event.
