It’s the perfect day to highlight our mighty kidneys and the power we have to protect kidney health together.   Did you know that 4 million people in Canada are affected by kidney disease? That’s one in 10 people. But thanks to vital kidney research funded by donors like you, treatment and care have come a long way.   That’s great news! And we can continue to transform kidney health by focusing on prevention and early detection—our best options for reducing the impact of kidney disease.

As you can read in my research update, I’m working with my team to pinpoint the effects of early kidney function decline in young adults and recommend better guidelines to help slow the progression of chronic kidney disease.   You have an important role to play in all this.
