About The John Howard Society of North Island
One of our initiatives that currently needs support is our KidStart Program. John Howard KidStart is a preventative volunteer mentoring program focusing on the positive development of children and youth ages 6-18. Mentoring services are delivered by carefully screened and trained volunteers. KidStart relies on donations, grants, monthly sponsors (KidStart Champions), and Gaming funds -Province of BC.
We are also raising funds for Foundry Campbell River and Foundry Comox Valley. As the lead agency of both centres, John Howard is working in partnership with government, community agencies, community partners, and donors to provide a variety of health and social services in each community. By working together with young people and families, Foundry is transforming the way we offer mental health, primary care, and social services to young people.
