About This Charity

The Museum is a key component of the cultural and heritage tourism for this region, as it covers ’10,000 years of 1000 Islands history’! While the 1000 Islands are known as a super, natural region of significance, culture and heritage have always been important parts of the tourism experience. The area’s rich Indigenous heritage, along with influences from generations of newcomers, have contributed to a diverse cultural experience in this part of Ontario.
