2025 is a milestone year for The Royal Canadian Dragoons with the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation on the Netherlands and the 125th anniversary of The Regiment's historic action at Leliefontein.
An 80th Anniversary Liberation of the Netherlands Battlefield and Honour Tour, with 40 RCD family members, will be held 30 April to 8 May 2025 in the Netherlands. The tour will consist of a number of battlefield tours and commemorative gatherings with Dutch friends.
The Guild and Association will sponsor five serving RCD soldiers for the 80th Anniversary Liberation of the Netherlands Battlefield and Honour Tour. Why not give back to our Regiment through a charitable donation to help send a soldier on the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands including of course Leeuwarden.
The cost to sponsor the entire trip, including airfare, ground transport, hotels and meals, for a serving Dragoon is $5,000.
