The Friends of Charleston Lake Park (FCLP) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the Park, its visitors and its wildlife inhabitants. It was established in 1995 to further public awareness, education and understanding of Charleston Lake Park's historical, archeological, cultural and biological resources.
The Friends undertake projects and initiatives like interpretive publications and maps,
Enhance and support Park recreational programs like puppet shows, an annual seniors' hike and interpretive programs,
Work with Park staff to monitor and keep hiking trails well maintained.
