The Edison Singers is a fully-professional choral charitable organization and has a multi-faceted mandate.

The first, is to produce concerts in different communities across southern Ontario. Currently the three hubs for our annual choral calendar are, Toronto, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Wellington County. Our aim is to become an integral part of the musical life of each community. Residents from each hub have signed up to help oversee volunteer activities such as distributing posters, ushering, advertising, marketing, hospitality, patron services, and fundraising. Over time, we plan to add more musical hubs.

A second mandate is to introduce our singers as soloists to other arts organizations. All our singers are professionally trained and we encourage the development of their solo careers. These are young artists with great futures and our aim is to help them build their resumés by providing them as many solo opportunities as we are able .

A third mandate is education through the hosting of conducting and vocal symposiums and community choral workshops. These activities are aimed at senior high school students, university students and amateur community choral singers and conductors from across the province.

In addition, The Edison Singers is partnering with private and public organizations and schools which have developed programs to help young people in dealing with mental illness and work towards decreasing the suicide rate. We know the arts play an integral part in helping to maintain the mental and emotional health of any human being and wish to play a part in this endeavour.
