Together, we provide Help for Today and Hope for Tomorrow

Founded in 2002, The Compass is more than a food bank also offering our services as an outreach centre that serves the community of south Mississauga. Our vision is to help people of all ages and backgrounds experiencing food insecurity and homelessness. We are here to meet the immediate needs for healthy and nutritious food, encourage the enhancement of life skills, and foster a caring community. We are one of the only food banks in Canada that distributes food on a weekly basis rather than monthly.

While donations of non-perishable food is always welcome, financial donations have the greatest impact enabling us to quickly respond to the immediate needs of our growing vulnerable community. We served 6,567 individuals in 2023 with 1 in every 3 being a child under the age of 18.
