The Cats of Paint Lake was founded to address the growing problem of stray and feral cats in the Muskoka and Haliburton Highlands regions of Ontario. We have since expanded our services to encompass much of Central Ontario. 

We take in cats, by trapping, transfer from other rescues, Humane Societies or SPCA's, then work with each cat to address its individual needs - physical, emotional and social. With a hybrid of shelter and foster based care, we are able to offer each cat a second chance at a good life in a loving home, or sanctuary and care for those with special needs.
