Support Young Readers in Remote and Rural Communities by Giving to Our Canadian Children’s Book Week Program Kits

On this Giving Tuesday, please give generously to offer the gift of reading to Canadian youth!

Many communities across Canada still lack access to a reliable internet connection. With May 1-7, 2022 being our second virtual Canadian Children’s Book Week tour, it is essential that kids and teens in these communities don’t get left behind. Last year our Program Kits, that we created in collaboration with four Canadian authors and illustrators and Book Week regional coordinators, allowed kids and teens in Northern Canada to learn and be inspired to read more and develop their own skills as writers and artists. These kits include author/illustrator videos, activities and books. They provide an opportunity for students to connect with the presenter. These kits were such a success that, for the 2022 tour, we’d like to offer them to even more communities. Your support will cover the costs of the video production, the compensation for the creators and the books for the students.
