Overview

To celebrate Emancipation Day on Monday, August 5, the CCAH and Oakville Museum, will be serving 250 free meals created by Chef Romaine Newell. Thank you to Town of Oakville and Visit Oakville for the partnership with this event.

Meal pick-up: Monday, August 5 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Coach House

Picnic Location: Oakville Museum, Erchless Estate from 1:00-4:00 pm

You will be required to pre-register for meals. We will be providing up to 250 free Caribbean-inspired meals created by Chef Romaine of Access Gourmet

Picnic will be on the grounds of Erchless Estate. Bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Musical guest includes Kevin Adams & Voices of Praise choir, and family activities by entertainer Nick Gordon. The Oakville Public Library will be onsite with their mobile book bike and the Oakville Museum will be open for tours. 

Each registrant will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a Nespresso coffee machine. Thank you to Cogeco for providing this gift. 

While your meal is free, we kindly ask that you consider making a donation to allow us to continue providing educational and cultural programs that create a sense of community and harmony.
