For the last 17 years Tara Cheyenne Performance has been creating and performing kinetic theatrical expressions through exquisitely realized characters, crafted choreography, a healthy dose of comedy, and lashings of tragedy. We’ve been touring these original works across the province and beyond creating lasting community connections everywhere we go. From these relationships we’ve built community programs like the Startle Reflex Residency Program, Workin’ it Out, Cafecito Morning Practice Workshops, Talking & Dancing Workshops and our podcast, Talking Sh*t with Tara Cheyenne.
We’re a small company who works hard to realize our programming goals. With increasing difficulty accessing government funding in the last few years we’ve had to make difficult decisions about how to make the greatest impact. Now we’re asking you, our community, to help. If it is an option for you, please consider donating to Tara Cheyenne Performance this gifting season. This GivingTuesday! we have a fundraising goal of $3000.00. Every little bit helps and this year every donation made during the month of December will be entered into a draw to win a SUPER cool Tara Cheyenne Performance hoodie!
If a donation isn’t a possibility for you at this time there is still a lot you can do to help! Please consider forwarding this call for support across your networks and on social media using the hashtag #GivingTuesdayCA.
We believe in the power of live performance to embody difficult topics and conversations, bring people together, share laughter and change lives. Your support is invaluable in our efforts to encourage and grow the work of underrepresented artists and performers in the Dance-Theatre communities in Canada.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
All our love,
