Little Farmers Program

The Little Farmers program brings early experiences growing food to pre-school children, with a focus on lower income neighbourhoods in Sudbury. 

We need to raise $8,000 by the end of March to enable us to expand the program to three more childcare centres in 2023. 

In 2021, Lacasse Fine Wood Products came to us with a generous offer to support the magic of bringing young children their first experience of growing their own food.

She offered to match donations for the rest of 2021 and thanks to this support, we were able to build raised garden beds at three daycare centres in 2022 and our staff provided gardening experiences for approximately 100 children.
In 2023, we hope to build garden beds at three more childcare centres and at least double the number of children who will learn how to start seeds, and plant, care for, and eat veggies they grew themselves.
