Cahoots is a not-for-profit event that strives to be financially sustainable (by breaking even) and economically equitable (by offering a robust sliding scale of prices). These are not always easy goals to reconcile, and we often do not break even (thanks to the support of SCM Canada, this does not ruin us).

A full price adult ticket price this year is $190, which is the projected per-person cost of the festival to run. A finite number of sliding-scale tickets are available at price points between $0 and $170, as well as lower-priced youth, child, and family tickets. We've committed to not making the regular price more than the projected per-person cost, and to offering affordable options.

New This Year - Help Make Cahoots Accessible!

Folks who have the means have always been invited to make a donation on top of their ticket, but this year we wanted to make it more tangible. On top of regular tickets, you’ll have the option to add a “ticket” called Make Cahoots Accessible. These are donations (you will receive a tax receipt) that directly subsidize our sliding scale tickets, and help make it possible to offer these accessible prices. (If enough people choose to help Make Cahoots Accessible, we will even be able to open additional sliding-scale spots) Thank you for considering whether you can help make cahoots accessible!

Note: because these had to be classed as 'tickets', you will be asked 'attendee information' when purchasing one. Please simply fill in the questions with "NA" or duplicate your responses from your own ticket!

Please consider your financial situation when choosing whether you select a sliding scale ticket, a full price ticket, or add a 'make cahoots accessible!' donation. We make a limited number of below-cost tickets available. Cahoots is a volunteer-run festival and everyone attending in any capacity has the same right to access a ticket at whatever price point they can afford.

All tickets include food, lodging, and any workshop materials. You should be able to participate in the festival without bringing any money along (although you may wish to bring cash in case a crafter is selling wares). All prices are CAD.
