The vision of the Stony Plain and Parkland Pioneer Museum is to be an enriching place to explore and enjoy our pioneering past.
The Stony Plain and Parkland Pioneer Museum strives to collect, preserve and present the artifacts and stories belonging to the people of Stony Plain and Parkland County. Situated on 14 acres, we farm a field using the old methods and we also have a large collection of farm machinery, some of which is still in use. We have 12 heritage buildings as well as a replica of the original Stony Plain Town Hall and an indoor 1930s street. We partner with local organisations to host a variety of events on our grounds as well as hosting an annual lecture series and our Harvest Festival. The Museum is mostly run by our wonderful volunteers who put in many hundreds of hours every year.
