Who we are

Jesus didn’t discriminate, and neither do we. We believe everyone is created in God’s image and we celebrate and honour that rich diversity. People of all ages, ethnicities, incomes, gender identities, sexual orientations, family configurations, abilities and faith backgrounds make up our vibrant and dynamic community. Together, we learn from each another, grow in faith and work for justice in God’s world.

What we believe

You don’t have to buy the whole package to be part of St. John’s. Rooted in the Anglican tradition, our community includes people with diverse beliefs and backgrounds who share a desire to explore their faith. We believe asking life’s big questions and wrestling with doubt are a key part of that process. All you need to bring is an open heart and an open mind.

How we put our faith in action

As followers of Jesus, we believe our faith compels us to work for justice and peace. From our community garden to our refugee sponsorship group to our advocacy for equal marriage, we put our beliefs into action.

An integral part of the High Park community

Our building is a gift from those who have worshipped and ministered here since 1889. Early Enrichment Daycare, the 12^th Toronto Girl Guide Unit, and the High Park Group (AA) are just a few of the community groups that share our space.
