Description

What is ECIP you may be asking?  Imagine that your child is born and something goes wrong.  Your baby comes too early or your child is just not hitting the average developmental milestones....what do you do?  Where do you go?  Where can you find help and support?

The Early Childhood Intervention Program is an organization that can help.  It was developed by a group of parents to provide that much needed help and support where the family needs it most - in their home.  We all know that children do best in their home environment, where they are comfortable and where they can be themselves.  ECIP Interventionists provide services in the family home, working as a team with other agencies involved, to develop programming specific to that child and family's needs and to proved support to the parents.

The Early Childhood Intervention Program is a province wide network of non profit organizations that proved family focused, home based services to families who have children with special needs, birth to school age, who experience a cognitive or physical disability or delay or who are at risk for developing delays.  ECIP works with the family to enhance all areas of the child's development, including speech and language, motor skills, cognitive skills and more.  ECIP Interventionists model developmentally appropriate activities and help the family access additional therapeutic and community supports.
