The South Asian Centre of Windsor, a registered charity since 1986, is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the vibrant cultural tapestry of South Asians in our region, all while embracing and integrating into the Canadian way of life.
Embracing Diversity in Windsor
Our South Asian community in Windsor is a mosaic of cultures, representing nations such as Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and their diaspora. Together, we unite in community building, fostering cultural pride, supporting the vulnerable, and advocating for integration and well-being.
As per the latest Statistics Canada data in 2022, South Asians constitute the second-largest racialized group in Windsor, with approximately 20,585 South Asian people.
