SOS Children’s Villages is the world’s largest charity focused on supporting children and young people without parental care or at risk of losing it. Protecting children and their rights for over 75 years, SOS Children’s Villages operates in more than 130 countries and territories and supports millions of children and families each year.

SOS Children’s Villages envisions a world where every child grows up in a nurturing family with the love, respect, and security they need to thrive. We take a holistic, child-centred approach to building families for children in need, helping them shape their futures, and sharing in the development of their communities—a mission that SOS Children’s Villages Canada has proudly supported with Canadians since 1969.

What we do

1. Protect children: We ensure that children grow up in a loving family environment with the support needed to reach their full potential.
2. Strengthen families: We keep families together through our Family Strengthening Programs, helping parents and communities better protect and care for their children.
3. Increase access to education: We provide quality education for children and youth, ensuring schools are safe, inclusive places where students can thrive.
4. Ensure health for all: We support health facilities and train frontline workers, ensuring children and young people have access to mental and physical healthcare.
5. Respond to emergencies: We prioritize child protection and distributing life-saving aid to children and families during disasters and humanitarian crises.
6. Boost economic empowerment: We empower young people and parents through vocational and leadership training, helping them break the cycle of poverty and build resilience.
7. Advocate for children’s rights: We actively campaign alongside children to eliminate barriers preventing them from fully realizing their rights.

How you can help
