The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a lay Catholic organization whose mission is: To live the Gospel message by serving Christ through our Neighbours in Need with love, respect, justice and joy. Members of the Society are committed to turning concern into action.
St. Gertrude's Conference in Oshawa serves 475 needy families by providing food, a food voucher, clothing and furniture. On average these families call us 3 to 4 times per year. These families are all living below the poverty line. We also refer them to services that we cannot provide.
