Society of Sharing’s A Friendly Walk and Run is finally back on June 11^th, 2023!

This National Seniors' Month we invite you to join our "A Friendly Walk and Run" fundraising event.

After a short hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the City of Toronto is once again organizing the The Toronto Challenge. The walk is a multi-charity event coordinated by the City of Toronto to support agencies, like Society of Sharing, who are improving the quality of life for seniors in their community.

This year our goal is to raise $15,000 to help fund our core programs. Our clients continue to face challenges with social isolation and access to food and transportation. Many of our clients rely on the programs provided by Society of Sharing for meaningful connections with others, getting to and from medical appointments, and having regular access to groceries. With an increasing demand for services, it’s crucial for us to maintain and improve our programs.

How to participate:

1) Participate by registering in the 5km/1km walk or run.

Event registration fees will support the City of Toronto’s Long-term Care Senior Homes.

Join us in walking towards our goal and to support SOS’s efforts to improve the lives of seniors in our community. A Friendly Walk and Run is for everyone to enjoy and we encourage you to invite your family, friends, and colleagues to a social and wellness event for all ages.

2) Participate by donating to our fundraiser.

Pledges and donations received from the participants supporting Society of Sharing will directly support our programs and services. Create a team to encourage your family and friends to donate!
