The Society of Canadian Ornithologists (SCO-SOC) is an organization of Canada's ornithological community.

Our goal is to promote and facilitate research on Canada's birds and communicate these findings to researchers, government agencies and the public to increase awareness of birds and their conservation needs.  Much of our funding goes to support new generations of ornithologists, by supporting student research.

Donations are used to support Student Research Awards, some of which are co-funded with Bird Studies Canada, Student Travel Awards to allow students to travel to and present at meetings, and to promote Early-career Researchers to establish themselves as leaders for the future.
