Our Mission

Silent Children's Mission is to relieve the suffering and neglect of those who do not have a voice - especially women, children and their families.

The goal is to let the poorest of the poor know someone cares - that God has not forgotten them but loves them.

Through various means we provide basic needs, education, healthcare, spiritual care and counselling so they can live a life of dignity and have the opportunity to develop their soul.

About Silent Children's Mission

Silent Children's Mission was founded by Dr. Andrew Simone and his wife Joan; they were inspired by the work they did with Mother Teresa, and the saint continues to inspire the present board of directors. Frankie Burg-Feret has been the executive director since 2011 when SCM became a registered charity in Canada. SCM is presently in ten developing countries where we collaborate mostly with Catholic bishops, priests, sisters and lay people. Through correspondence and (self paid) visits to these missions, we develop trusting relationships in order to assist the identified children and families most in need. The charism of Mother Teresa guides the work of SCM and through her example and the gentle encouragement of our spiritual director, Fr. Michael Della Penna ofm, we rely on Divine Providence to inspire our benefactors to share. No one receives payment for work and no donations are used for fundraising.
