Please join Paul Huyer in his incredible feats of strength and endurance, and critical support of families transitioning to a life free of abuse, by donating to his Ironman Fundraiser for Shelter Movers Greater Toronto!
In an incredible show of support, Brian and Colleen Johnston have generously agreed to match any donations received up to $10,000, and Miik Inc. will match an additional $5,000 for a combined total of $15,000!! So every dollar you donate will double!!
Paul will be competing in two Ironman events: The Ironman 70.3 World Championship in St. George Utah on October 30th (consisting of a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run (a half marathon) for a total of 113 km, which he is aiming to complete in 5 hours)! And the full Ironman Race in Tempe Arizona on November 20th (doubling the World Championship race with a 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike and a marathon (42.2 km) for a total of 226 km, which he is aiming to complete in 10.5 hours!
To prepare, Paul will on average train 20 hours per week, consisting of 8 kms of swimming, 275 kms of biking, and 60 km of running plus 3 hours of strength work. Incredible!
All of the funds raised will support Shelter Movers GT – a volunteer-powered charity that helps families transition to a life free of abuse by providing no-cost moving and storage. With your support to reach Paul’s goal, this fundraiser will help move 150 families!
Shelter Movers is incredibly grateful for people like Paul, and we are extremely thankful that you are supporting him on his Ironman journey, while helping families in our community live a life free of abuse.
