Make Ottawa brighter one door at a time. Help open doors for families fleeing domestic abuse.

Shelter Movers Ottawa is a registered charitable organization that provides moving and storage services for those fleeing domestic violence - all at no cost. We're nearly at our 500th move - help us get there!

While we can’t hold our regular fundraising events this year, we needed to think outside the box. As it’s such a hard year for many people, we wanted a fundraiser to raise people’s spirits! 

So, we decided to brighten up Ottawa! Our goal is to involve the community and have individuals and businesses decorate their door and enter it into our competition. Then, you'll share your door's decor while encouraging your friends, family, neighbours, customers, social following (whoever!) to donate by voting for you! The door which raises the most funds is our winner.

Ready to make Ottawa brighter?

1. Register as a team (household, business, etc) or individual. The registration fee is $25.

2. Create your participant page. Upload the photo of your door and tell us as much or as little as you'd like about it. This page is all YOURS. Have a great story to go with it? Let us know!

3. Share! Share your personalized link encouraging your friends, family, and everyone else to vote for you by donating.

Keep sharing and voting - the winner with the most donations raised will be announced on the 15th of December! Bonus prizes too for those with the most donors and most creative doors!
