About SHARE Family & Community Services
SHARE Family and Community Services is a non-profit, independent registered charity providing community-based social services. We provide leadership and programs in response to the social and developmental needs of the residents of the Tri-Cities (the eastern suburbs of Vancouver - Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra) and adjacent communities.
Our Programs
SHARE began in 1972 with a Thrift Store and Crisis Line and today provides a range of programs and services that include:
- Uprooting Poverty: Food bank and affordable housing, as well as pre-employment training for people facing multiple barriers.
- Social Well-Being: Counselling services for all ages, as well as speech, occupational, physical and social emotional therapy services for young children.
- Inclusive Communities: Three family resource centres providing early childhood development programs, and newcomer support services.
