Our Mission

The Seeds of Hope Foundation provides places of hope and belonging for those at a crossroads in their lives. Places where people discover their gifts and abilities through communities of compassion and caring. Our transitional homes, safe places, and creative spaces enhance livelihood, learning, and social opportunities.

- Last year The Seeds of Hope Foundation touched the lives of over 3000 people through 25,000 community meals, transitional housing placements, & Learning Centre activities.

- Over 150 visitors for weekly community meals.

- Over 5000 meals served annually.

- Over 200 volunteers active weekly.

- Our current annual budget is $450,000.

- Our homes and programs are operated by the participants and volunteers with only one paid staff and audited admin & fundraising costs of less than 15%!

About SEEDS OF HOPE FOUNDATION

Seeds of Hope Programs are non-denominational and open to all.

The Alano club offers addiction relapse prevention and post-treatment approaches that create places of caring.

Our Homes on Broadview are for men in recovery from alcohol & other drug addictions. Residents reinforce each other's return to society by working together to contribute their skills to the houses and their community.

Housed in a beautiful Victorian home, 6 St. Joseph House hosts community meals and volunteer opportunities for those seeking new beginnings.

The Yellow Door Learning Centre offers over forty courses in art, wellness, yoga, nutrition, poetry, dance, meditation, & more. All participants are welcome to participate in a unique learning experience based on compassion, creativity, and community.

Lazarus House provides confidential women's Post-Trauma Crisis Housing. It is another 'place of caring' that provides a safe place for women seeking to escape situations of trauma and abuse.
