About SECHELT PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Sechelt Public Library is an integral asset to our community and enhances the lives of many on the Sunshine Coast and beyond. Our service area encompasses the District of Sechelt, shishálh Nation Government District, Roberts Creek, Halfmoon Bay, and Pender Harbour/Egmont with our operating budget being financially supported by these five local government funders as well as the BC Government.

The desire of every Sechelt Library staff member is to positively impact the lives of our fellow citizens - not just for a moment or a day - but for a lifetime. Not taken lightly is our role in providing access to knowledge, being a haven for imagination, and in fostering social connections for all ages.  We improve, adapt and innovate so that the items contained within our walls and the services we offer best serve our evolving community.  Professional service and support are provided to all in a democratic space free from financial barriers. We know we make a difference. 

We will continue to advocate for literacy, intellectual freedom and a strong physical structure that provides space to breathe and grow. With these, the Sechelt Library will continue to be a valuable community asset.
