Save the Children is committed to advancing reconciliation and Indigenous Rights in Canada. We recognize not all children’s rights are equally realized in Canada, and due to the impacts of colonization First Nations, Metis, and Inuit children often don’t have their rights upheld.

For children not to exercise their rights equally has devastating impacts on them, their families, communities, and nations. That’s why we are focusing our programs in Canada on reconciliation through a child-centered approach.

We work alongside Indigenous communities across Canada supporting community-led initiatives focusing on mental health and wellness, education, and climate change.
