Our Mission

SAFE - Farm Animal Sanctuary in the Eastern Townships is a registered Canadian charity situated in Quebec.

SAFE receives no federal nor provincial funding, and therefore relies on the generosity of its supporters to help continue to provide farm animals with a second chance at a happy life. Your gift helps us rescue, rehabilitate, and provide lifelong care for farm animals who have been saved from the dairy and meat industries, slaughterhouses or simply abandoned. Your donation also supports us in reaching out to the public to promote awareness about the plight of farm animals and to educate through our innovative programs and advocacy work. We work to inspire compassion in people so that they may opt for a cruelty free and more sustainable lifestyle, thereby saving more farm animal lives and the planet.

Our monthly donation/sponsorship program directs your support to where its needed most. 

Your support enables us to provide our rescued residents the love and care they need to recover from abuse and neglect. It guarantees that all our animals enjoy nourishing food, clean, comfortable barns, large pastures and plots of forest, each and every day, as well as veterinarian care when necessary. As a sponsor, you will receive regular updates on how your gifts have been put to work to help make the animals’ lives better.
