Helping Students Thrive
Charitable donations support programs, services and capital improvements that are beyond the scope of the Board's annual operating and capital budgets and beyond the basic educational program funded by government. School District No. 63 (Saanich) works together with the community to support innovative programs and services making a very special educational experience for our students.
How will your contribution make a difference?
While core education programs are funded by the Province of British Columbia, the Saanich School District supports many additional programs and services that greatly benefit our students. We appreciate the support that is received from donors enabling us to continue with this work. Charitable donations are used to provide extraordinary opportunities that are normally not available and to support students who need our help to thrive.

The Saanich School District has 8 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 3 secondary schools, and is proudly represented by nearly 8,000 students. In addition, the District also maintains a children's development centre, two individual learning centres, and an international student program.
All Saanich School District educational programs are guided by the Principles of Learning and the Principles of Inclusive Schools. This philosophical underpinning ensures that through all of our practices, administrators, teachers and support staff are working towards the success of all learners. Our current goals include:
- To improve student success and engagement at school
- To improve literacy achievement
- To improve numeracy achievement
We continue to be proud of the achievements of our students. Unique and diverse programs, quality instruction and a strong professional learning community have led to excellent results and a positive environment for everyone. Our schools continue to be "great places to learn and safe places to be."
