Great Canadian Giving Challenge

Saanich Neighbourhood Place understands the journey of parenthood, whether transitioning a child into independence or managing a growing family, we believe the power of community can make all the difference.

As parents, we prioritize our children's health and happiness, however, it's also important to remember to take care of ourselves too. At SNP, we acknowledge the love and dedication parents have for their children, yet we also recognize the challenges and isolation that come with parenting.

That's why our programs aim to offer a safe space for building relationships, discussing parenting challenges, and accessing tools and support. All our programs are provided at no cost, removing the barriers by offering transportation assistance, food, and childcare wherever possible. Our goal is to help parents find their footing and thrive in their parenting journey.

In recognizing the importance of mental health for parents, this month our organization is participating with CanadaHelps for the Great Canadian Giving Challenge. Each dollar donated through CanadaHelps.org enters us for a chance to win $10,000, which will directly benefit our programs that aid families and parents. With a specific emphasis on parental mental health, our goal is to raise the funds to sustain our impactful services within the community.

Even the smallest of donations can make the biggest impact on the lives of our community members. In appreciation of their generosity, donors will receive a tax receipt for their contribution.
