About the RIDGE MEADOWS HOSPICE SOCIETY
The Society was founded in 1980 by Edna Trethewey, a former public health nurse, who realized the need for help for dying patients and their families in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
Since then the society has helped provide volunteer support and programs at McKenney Creek Hospice and in our community. Our palliative and grief support programs help individuals and their families who are living with a life-limiting illness or who are coping with the loss of a loved one. We are a registered not-for-profit charitable organization funded through grants, donations and fundraising which allows for our support programs to be provided free of charge to community members in both Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
