Our Mission
Rest.Q Animal Sanctuary Society provides permanent housing to unwanted, abused, and neglected animals. In addition to housing animals, we are committed to promoting education around the issues of positive animal stewardship. Rest.Q is entirely funded by a mix of private donations and grants, and 100% of donations go to providing direct action for animals - both animals in residence at Rest.Q and to those requiring temporary emergency care.

Rest.Q Animal Sanctuary is a recognized nonprofit charity (Registered Business Number: 83035 9568 RR 0001) located on 3 acres in the Southern Gulf Islands. Rest.Q is home to over 120 permanent residents in satellite locations that include horses, alpacas, pigs, parrots, rabbits, battery hens, turkeys, and geese. As one of our Board of Directors is a BC certified veterinarian, our animals receive exemplary care.
