About This Charity

The Dr. Borna Meisami Commemorative Foundation helps survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), in concrete ways to rebuild their lives. The Foundation helps women break the vicious cycle of abuse, depression, self-neglect and deterioration of health and sense of self-worth. The Dr. Borna Meisami Commemorative Foundation (DBMF) envisions a future when every Canadian woman and gender-diverse person (GDP) impacted by gender-based violence (GBV), has access to the free dental, oral, sleep, physical and rehabilitative care, medical care, and reconstructive support they need to lead healthy, active, socially engaged, and prosperous lives. Our mission is to provide concrete and compassionate dental, oral, sleep and physical care that helps survivors of GBV regain their self-confidence and restore their overall health.
