Why we exist?

British Columbians deserve high quality health care services, and this is dependent on enough nurses to provide essential care.

Giving to nursing education bursaries with the Registered Nurses of BC Foundation

• helps students and nurses achieve their education goals and provide the best possible care throughout their lives;
• helps alleviate some financial pressures for students and nurses pursuing their education.

About Registered Nurses Foundation of BC (RNFBC)

• Provides bursaries for students in undergraduate nursing programs and post-basic education  (Certificates, Masters and PhD) preparing nurses for advanced/post-basic roles;
• Nearly 2,000 RNFBC bursaries have helped nurses pursue their education since 2005;
• Applications exceed available bursary funds e.g. 2022 saw 274 bursaries awarded among 1800 applicants;
• All BC students in LPN, RPN, and RN programs are eligible for RNFBC bursaries;
• RNFBC donors have created almost 40 named bursaries providing multiple annual awards.

The need to help educate new nurses and provide a higher level of education for current nurses has arguably never been greater!  Thank you for helping Registered Nurses to provide the best possible care and leadership.
