UPDATE April 24 - Cherry's condition has stabilized thanks to the dedication of her foster and our vetting team! Her initial care has added up more than expected and we have increased our fundraising goal to $4000. She is currently  on prescription medicine that costs $530 per month, and the vet prescribed food (wet and dry) runs between $500-600 per month. She has been in our care for two months.

As she continues to improve, we will be looking into transitioning her to less costly food. Any changes to medication will be evaluated by the vet. Cherryfield needs a champion!

Despite the challenges ahead, her spirit remains strong, and she's ready to tackle whatever comes her way! 🐶💪 Megaesophagus is a rare condition in dogs that decreases mobility in the muscles of the esophagus which can lead to malnutrition, aspiration of food and water, and ultimately be fatal if left untreated.

We want to give her the best chance at life, but we can't do it alone. She needs our support to cover the many vet visits, specialized food, and a custom chair for eating, ensuring she gets the care she deserves.
