Benefit to the public by:
-rescuing and providing temporary shelter for abandoned, abused or surrendered feral cats or kittens and operating a feral or stray cat adoption program
-operating a Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR)program for certain wild feral cats
-providing veterinary services and spaying and neutering feral or stray kittens or cats
Membership
• Membership in the RedHead Strays Helping Stray Cats Strut organization shall be open to all persons who wish to assist stray or abandoned cats and kittens in need.
• Members assist in delivering on the organization’s objectives by praying, donating for veterinary care, fostering or adopting cats or kittens, or other animals.
• Members can also assist in delivering on the organization’s objectives through fundraising activities, gathering donations of items for auction or raffles, or gathering and delivering donations of food and supplies.
• Every member shall have one vote at general meetings.
• Registration and termination of membership:
• Registration of members will be controlled through the RedHead Strays Helping Stray Cats Strut Facebook group. Only the group’s Facebook Administrators may authorize new members.
• Foul language, name calling, finger pointing or online abuse will not be tolerated. The Executive Director may terminate or suspend the membership of any member, if in its opinion his/her conduct is prejudicial to the interests and objects of the association.
Board Structure
• The Board of Directors shall consist of a minimum of 5 members. The number of Board members may be amended by a duly adopted resolution of the Board of Directors.
• Board members must be members in good standing and supporters of the RedHead Strays.
• The Board of Directors shall consist of the following:
• Executive Director
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• Other Board members the organization shall deem necessary.
• The Executive Director is the creator of the group and shall remain in that position until such time as they choose to resign or step down.
• The Treasurer, Secretary and other Board Members shall serve initially for a one year term, and may resign by letter addressed to the Executive Director at any time.
• Any vacancies shall be filled by invitation and appointment by the Executive Director.
• Voting at Board of Directors meetings shall be by show of hands on a majority basis, excluding the Executive Director. The Executive Director will vote in the instance of a tie vote.
Finance
• Any money obtained by the group shall be used only for the group.
• Any bank accounts opened for the group shall be in the name of the group.
• The Board of Directors will ensure that the group stays within the budget.
