Raising the Roof provides national leadership on long-term solutions to homelessness through partnership and collaboration with diverse stakeholders, investment in local communities, and public education.

About Raising the Roof

Raising the Roof was created in 1996 when the country expressed a need for an organization with concrete strategies to end homelessness. Raising the Roof was born with the objective of showing people how to address and prevent homelessness, in practical and tangible ways.
 
For 21 years, we have been raising awareness and understanding around the issue of homelessness, and engaging individuals, communities and the private sector with real solutions. In response, we have developed several sustainable programs focusing on youth homelessness and homelessness prevention - as we believe prevention is the key to ending homelessness . These projects include Reside, The Upstream Project, and Host Homes.
