The RRDVSP partners with Emergency Services to provide immediate emotional and practical support to victims of crime and other tragic circumstances.  Our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

About

Since 2007, the Rainy River District Victim Services program has provided services and supports to victims of crime and other tragic circumstances in the Rainy River District, which is home to ten First Nation and other small communities. Staff and Volunteers at this program provide victims, their families and witnesses with the support they need, when they need it most. They have helped create a comprehensive sexual assault network so victims can access local services easier, hosted speakers for service-provider training and workshops, and created a separate examination room at the local hospital to give sexual assault victims the privacy they deserve. Staff members also participate in local initiatives such as the Fort Frances Homelessness Committee, Safe Communities Rainy River District, To Be the Voice Committee for human trafficking and the Care Givers Group.
