Our Mission
Rainbows For All Children Canada is an International not-for-profit organization, with charitable status in Canada, that fosters emotional healing among children grieving a loss from a life-altering crisis. These losses, among others, include separation, divorce, death, incarceration and foster care.
About RAINBOWS FOR ALL CHILDREN CANADA
Rainbows partners with communities to offer a peer support program for children, teens and adults who have experienced a separation, divorce, death or other painful transition within their family. The mission of Rainbows is to assist participants sort through their pain and confusion, build self-esteem and learn positive coping strategies to deal with their loss. This process takes place through channels of peer support with volunteer adult facilitators in a safe and nurturing environment. The emphasis is on the unconditional acceptance that is fostered in the group which promotes positive behaviour changes and encourages growth and healing. The 14 session program is offered at no cost to participants and is in the community's school systems, places of worship, YMCA's and social service agencies.
