"Bili" is a shortform used by PSC'ers, their caregivers, and their medical team to describe bilirubin, produced when the liver breaks down red blood cells, and which then gets carried away in bile, a digestive fluid. PSC causes scarring inside the bile ducts, stopping the flow of bile and the removal of bilirubin. Hence the team name "Free Bili" - our desire to help find a way to keep "Bili" free flowing.
Please help us raise funds for PSC research. Funds raised will help PSC Partners Canada in the search for treatments and a cure for PSC, a rare liver disease. Your support will go to Canadian charity PSC Partners Seeking a Cure Canada and a receipt for CRA income tax purposes will be provided.
K83.01 is the code used in the medical world to identify PSC. We are participating in the third annual WALK83.01 for PSC! Our goal is to walk at least 83.01 miles (133.6 km) each, by the end of the campaign on 31 August 2024. We would love your support!
You are also welcome to join our team in this fundraiser to help create a world where a PSC diagnosis comes with a cure!
Thank you!
