About PROJECT LITERACY CENTRAL OKANAGAN SOCIETY
Project Literacy Central Okanagan Society (PLCOS) offers free and confidential one-to-one tutoring service for adults in our community who want to improve their literacy skills. PLCOS trains volunteers to work with clients to improve their literacy skills in order to achieve employment and personal goals. Literacy instruction includes reading, writing, numeracy, English as a Second Language (ESL), computer skills, and more.
Project Literacy clients also receive assistance to prepare for GED tests, Language Proficiency Index (LPI) exams and applied math and reading tests for entrance into pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship trades programs.
