The Prince George Humane Society is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused, neglected, and abandoned animals, placing them in loving forever homes. Our primary focus is on supporting underserved communities, including low-income, remote, and Indigenous areas, where access to veterinary care is limited. We offer programs and services to address pet overpopulation, promote humane education, and reduce the number of animals abandoned.

Since our establishment in 2015, we've expanded our initiatives, notably the "Pets and People Together" program. This program provides support to pet owners who can't afford behavior services and face resource constraints, helping them keep their pets rather than surrendering them. By extending our services to Northern British Columbia, we've significantly reduced animal surrenders to shelters, preserving the bond between people and their pets.
