I had preeclampsia and partial HELLP after the birth of my two children (now 4 & 6.5). I’ve since had a mini stroke in 2019 (three years postpartum). I credit my participation in the Promise Walk and the Heart Institute’s IMPROVE program with helping me recognize the seriousness of my symptoms rather than dismissing them.
The Promise Walk for Preeclampsia™ is the single most important fundraising initiative for Preeclampsia Foundation Canada that supports our mission to reduce maternal and infant illness and death due to preeclampsia, HELLP Syndrome and other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy through patient education, public awareness and research.
