The Promise Walk for Preeclampsia™ is the single most important fundraising initiative for Preeclampsia Foundation Canada that supports our mission to reduce maternal and infant illness and death due to preeclampsia, HELLP Syndrome and other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy through patient education, public awareness and research.
Christine became one of those people who experience heart attack/stroke in the fifteen years after their preeclampsia. She credits recognizing her TIA and heart symptoms to her work with Preeclampsia Foundation Canada and her experience with the Heart Institute's IMPROVE heart risk mentoring program for women who have had preeclampsia, HELLP, or gestational diabetes.
Thankfully she is doing well and I am happy to support this very important initiative .
