Celebrating 65 years of art in our community! The Penticton & District Community Arts Council (PDCAC) believes in a vibrant, flourishing, and sustainable artistic community that is inclusive and accessible to all. We work hard to provide opportunities for artists and community members to come together in celebration of all things art. Connect with us today!
We serve the people of the City of Penticton, Regional District Areas D, E & I, and tourists who visit year-round. We partner with artists and art groups for in-person exhibitions, festivals, markets, workshops, art walks, and performances. We are the liaison for our arts community with the Mayor and City Council, work with the Downtown Association, Chamber of Commerce, and tourism organizations to promote our local arts inside and outside our area, and work to create a healthy arts culture for Penticton & Area.
Because of you we can:
- Provide low-barrier creative opportunities for our community through the Arts Matter program, including marginalized and vulnerable community members in partnership with social service providers.
-Offer subsidized spaces for Artists in Residence, community art groups, and organizations.
- Partner with artists, galleries, and local businesses on festivals, art walks, and other collaborative community events.
- Offer $1750 in high school bursaries to Penticton Secondary and Princess Margaret High School students each year.
This beautiful land on which we gather, where we work, play and live, is the ancestral, traditional and unceded territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) peoples, who have been here for thousands of years.
