Friendly Visiting Program:
Volunteers provide in-person visits to socially-isolated seniors to begin new friendships and provide companionship. As well, Friendly Visiting Program volunteers do Telephone Safety Checks to monitor the wellbeing of socially-isolated seniors who often do not have any family members to check on them and provide a friendly voice on the phone. Telephone-based Group Chat is also available for seniors to interactive with other seniors and have fun talking about whatever interests them.
Congregate Dining Program:
Provide hot, nutritious meals to seniors at different sites and a “Take-out Meal” Program in West Toronto, and offer opportunities for clients who make new friends at dining events and reduce risk of social isolation and depression.
Seniors Active Living Centre - Social & Recreation Program:
Offers social inclusion and sense of connection to the community for vulnerable seniors and older adults with disabilities. Program activities include exercise, dance, board games, special events like holiday celebrations, and local outings. These recreational activities aim to help with physical and mental health issues and encourage social participation among seniors.
