The Humber R4RF supports a program very close to my heart, the Co-op Cred Program. This grassroots program ensures some of the most vulnerable people in Toronto have access to what I take for granted: eating well, developing employable skills and meaningful community relationships.
I love this program:
Because it's innovative in it's approach to social challenges: participants don't get hand outs, they gain skills and connections and get grocery store credits in exchange.
Because it's small but mighty in its impact for the people involved, many participants champion the program and work to expand it's reach.
Because as a program supporter program I am implicated in doing real work to support vulnerable people in Toronto. Donate to my efforts and you can say the same thing!
